We took the short walk over the cliffs to the little sandy cove beneath the Castillo de San Ramon. There was only one other person on the beach. There are very few holidaymakers here at the moment and Spanish visitors only come at weekends.
The sea is still warm enough for swimming so I was able to take some photos in the sea. Here are Cow Bream feeding in the sea grass meadows offshore.
I also saw great shoals of little Sand Smelt.
On the way back through El Valle del Rodalquilar the palm trees looked dramatic into the light against the backdrop of the mountains.
