This is the first weekend of family summer holidays and Las Negras now has the look of a little Spanish holiday resort. We drove down to the village this evening and found it busier than at any other time this year.
Traditionally Spanish families leave the beach at 1400 for lunch and siesta but like to return in the evening so at 1930 there was plenty of activity. The low sun was casting long shadows and a soft light over the calm sea.
It was pleasant sitting outside Las Barcas bar watching all the activity, the water taxi returning from San Pedro and the colourful boats.
