Today we walked from the village of Presillas Bajas, which overlooks the sea from the hills behind Los Escullos, to the Caldera de la Majada Redonda. The walk takes you up the rambla to the vast, ancient volcanic crater.
Although the botany was not as interesting as on yesterday’s walk the views are spectacular and the geology fascinating.
We encountered a partridge that did not seem to mind us or the dogs, making it easy to photograph.
When we returned to Presillas Bajas we strolled around the village and took some photos of the pretty traditional cottages.
