Another perfect day for a coastal walk, so this morning we went to Playa del Barronal between San Jose and Faro de Cabo de Gata.
To reach this peaceful sandy cove you park along the coastal track just before Monsul and walk down a path through the agaves.
The rock formations in the cliffs and behind the beach are fascinating and typical of this volcanic region.
Stranded on the beach is a wreck of a small boat with what looks like Arabic writing on it. We wonder whether it belonged to Moroccan immigrants trying to get across from Africa.
