While we are thinking of Federico Garcia Lorca this week I thought I would mention that one of his most famous plays, Blood Wedding, was based on a report he read in a newspaper about a murder of vengeance, resulting in the death of the two men involved, that had taken place in Nijar. The bride who was the subject of this drama lived in the village of Fernan Perez, which is the nearest one to our new home.
Digby drove down to Almeria this morning with a car full of books, china and other items for our new house and came back with these photos of Fernan Perez as well as some of the beach at Las Negras which, as one would expect in August, was crowded. Below is a photo of our new home.
