This morning we went for a walk in the spring sunshine along the next valley between our house and the village of La Fabrica. We stopped at this farm by the Rio Milanos to speak to the farmer about the asparagus as we have noticed that the harvest has begun. He told us that it is better to wait a few more days as the first asparagus is not so good because it has been touched by the cold nights.
Outside the house the abuela was sitting in the shade. Her granddaughter was also outside, playing alongside chickens pecking in the dust. Presiding over this rustic scene was a peacock, proudly displaying his feathers.
