This morning, we went for a walk through the olive groves. after overnight rain the weather was warm and steamy and the sun breaking through the clouds promised a pleasant day ahead. The stony banks which line the tracks through the groves provide the ideal conditions for many varieties of wild flowers. The first of the wild orchids have made an appearance: the Bee Orchid with its brown bee-like flowers and the smaller, mauve-flowered Fan Lipped Orchid. We took the opportunity to photograph these pretty flowers.
